Grocery and Retail Store Push Carts

Carts in retail and grocery stores have a seat for a child to sit in. As the parent is pushing the cart the child is always facing the parent.

The seat should be re-designed so the child is facing the front of the cart and can see where they are going. The child will be more entertained during the sometimes very long shopping trip and will be less anxious and have more patience.

 

Comments

Pluses:
- More brain stimulation for child, less boredom
- More interaction with parents and involvement in decision process while shopping
leading to...
- Smarter children???

Minuses:
- Contaminating groceries in cart with germs from child hanging over the other way
- Less space for groceries in the cart
- Inertia, education needed for the moms on how to use (shouldn't be much of a learning curve)
